I just came across this new website and group being put together by once-Vancouver-now-Toronto-based artist Chloe Lewis. It’s a club/coalition for artists who want to make up dares for other artists around the world and, in turn, take on and document a dare that they accomplish (put forth by other coalition members, of course).

Her site explains it better:

THE COALITION FOR DARING BEHAVIOUR (CFDB)

Through an ongoing exchange of dares, the CFDB aims to facilitate creative collaborations between international artists, linked exclusively by an eagerness to engage in daring behaviour.

The CFDB’s website will serve as a virtual gallery and as an archive of all dares submitted and executed over the course of the project. CFDB members will also be invited to participate in gallery exhibitions and publications.

To join the CFDB, you must submit a dare.

I actually love this idea. It’s sort of like the “Do It” art recipe book, plus a little Learning to Love You More but with an element of danger and the possibility of there being ferocious wild animals thrown in (or at least in my ideal world there will be ferocious animals).

Yep, just like this.
